This beer is being marketed as a "helles", and that's why I added it with that beer style.
There's a big marketing campaign here in Brazil for this beer, and it's being sold as a beer specially made for the '06 World Cup.

For me, it looked, smelled and tasted pretty much the same as Brahma's other macros. Faint, watered down taste, not much of a smell, and that "fizzy yellow water" mouthfeel. I was hoping for more.

Even though the can says "helles", I would have to say this reminded me too much of your standard macro lager.

Beer served with lime wedge. Very average apperance, very golden hue and transparent. No head or lace with tiny bubbles. It has a very overwhelming lime aroma, smells sour and yeasty. The taste is very refreshing, sweet with the lime taste. It has a somewhat watery mouthfeel. I find this a slightly better corona but a good summer beer. If i tried this again i would like it without the lime because i found it overpowering.

I just read an Article in Maxim magazine; 100 Best Beers. Brahma it turns out was an Editors' pick. All I can say is the Editor must also think Miller Chill is a gourmet brew! I wasted $8.99 on a six pack of this stuff based on the Article. FOOL ME ONCE! The best think about this "Bier" is the curvy, sexy bottle. The contents are disappointing; thin, fruity, the head disappeared in seconds, and lacing too. Save your Beer $$ for something else. 2 Mugs Down!

Single, twelve-ounce bottle just copped from Total Wine and More in West Orange...
Although not my first beer from a Brazillian brewery, this was a pleasing sample nonetheless...
Average appearance, pouring a clear, lucid, golden-hue with slight carbonation, a minimal head and no apparent lacing...
Crisp, clean, refreshing flavor with no alcohol detected whatever the ABV is...
Medium-bodied mouthfeel along with a surprisingly good level of drinkability...
Worth a shot...

This is really not different than the "regular" Brahma. Pale yellow with a fomay white head, alcohol smell, watered taste of alcohol and somewhat fruity, very thin, easy to drink but overall very poor.
Do not waste your time; even if you like this "style", just get the "plain" Brahma; same (lack of) taste, a little cheaper.

Brahma Bier, a special edition beer for the germany soccer world cup, is a pale lager with more extract and alcohol content (4.9%). It offers not too much in comparison to the other brazilian lagers, except a higher bitterness and an alcoholic character that seems stronger than its alcohol content shows. Probably due to an increased level of higher alcohols.
