Tried this one as a 6oz. sample. Described as a traditional unfiltered German hefeweizen, this beer looked the part. It's a hazy golden color and came to the table with a little head left and decent lacing. The aroma is faint. Very weak phenols & esters. The flavor is in line with the aroma. Very low banana clove flavor. This beer is thin & has medium/light body. Could use some more carbonation.
This is a bland hefe. It's watery and leaves me wondering how there could be any wheat in it.

Poured a wonderful golden color with excellent head and lacing. Very nice deep straw/wheat scent with very nice banana and slight clove aromas. Great flavor, a wonderfully thick wheat malt base with horribly excellent banana flavors and a nice little hit of clove, as well as a decent noble hop spiciness at the end. Goes down very, very well, especially as I think it was unfiltered. For full disclosure, I only had a tasting of this... I ordered a pint and the server was nice enough to let me try it. It's a great wheat beer, but it wouldn't have matched the pizza and stout I'd already had. Definitely wanted to share this beer with the regional BAs, though, as it's a great beer on its own, and doubly if you like hefes.
