This big, hoppy IPA is brewed with Belgian Golden Ale yeast; Vienna, Melanoidin, and Carapils malts; and dry-hopped with a fair whack of Falconer's Flight. A new hop and a new recipe here at the pub.

Pours a hazy, bright golden orange color with tangerine hues and a half finger white head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Decent retention with sporadic streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Nice color and lacing.
Inviting aroma wih a strong melon/citrus character and subtle earthy hops. Hints of fresh cut grass and faint pine but the esters/Belgian yeast notes dominate with light fruit, bread and biscuit. Wish there was a bit more resinous hop character but the melon, grapefruit orange peel presence is nice. Pale malts with biscuit, bread, cider and pear.
Lighter end of medium body with slightly earthy, dry bitterness that lingers over the sweeter hop notes, pale malt and Belgian esters into a dry finish. Grassy hops and dry piney sap followe by melon, ruby red grapefruit, pineapple and orange zest. Pale malt backbone with bread, biscuit and pear sweetness. Nice balance but could use more resinous hop bitterness.
