Served from tap in a taster glass at the brewpub.

Bachelor Party-Palooza 2014 (Part 1) rolls on with an offering from Haymarket's apparent wheelhouse. It pours a clear golden-brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises sweet pine resin, mild caramel, light greenery, light grass, and a kiss of honey. The taste brings in more of the same, the resin and greens really in full bloom, the caramel backing up strongly (though vainly), and an afterthought of leek trying to imply itself to some appreciable degree (also vainly). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, an okay IPA, but the heavy resin character works against it for me, mostly drowning out the other participants.

Menu notes: Brewed and dry hopped with 60lb of crystal, cascade, centennial, and chinook.

Clear golden liquid, aroma is heavy centennial. The taste is inline with the aroma, more centennial than cascade. The hops are a little more bitter than flavorful in my opinion. Light bodied and easy poundability, especially if you've got a sweet spot for centennial hops.
