Brewed and dry-hopped with 2.5 pounds per barrel of Amarillo. Dry in the beginning, with a nice malt middle and a huge hop finish, this big IPA brings notes of bright fruit and citrus.

Dark Gold with a fluffy white head. The beer leaves really nice lacing.
It has a nose of of dank citrus and caramel malts.
It is a mash-up of flavors. Citrus, pine and herbal notes all layered over bready malts. Nicely bitter but pulled in a bit by the malts.
The mouth is a bit oily and coating.
All-in-all, a tasty beer from Haymarket. Yes sir senator!

Taste is the most important characteristic; and this IPA, poured into an IPA glass, is very good.
From my cuz in Chicago- thank you very much!

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/14/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, wood, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, wood, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, wood, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, honey, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great, Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; not aggressive. Awesome Amarillo hop showcase as expected. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a great balanced bready malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on Midwest style example. No complaints.

Old School Midwest IPA. Plenty of malt to support the citrus and Mellon Hops. I highly recommend this beer if you enjoy Bell’s Two Hearted Ale, Founders Centennial etc.

a bit of an old one in my experience unfortunately, so the hops and the malts have sort of melted together, not even really fair to rate this one, but it just shows so much promise even being as dated as it is, hops with a lot of northwestern character, pine and spruce and all of that, juniper and gin notes, lots of alpha acid bitterness too, and even though the malt profile is a bit broken down, it still has a lot of body, balancing sweetness, and baked sort of heartiness and warmth, the kind of complexity i like in the style, as much a strong pale as it is an ipa for me, somewhat malt driven as they go, but great balance. i have no doubt in my mind that this would be a totally different beer if it were fresh, so never mind the ratings, this just has me feeling good about its potential. a little boozy to me at this point, and a little faded, but a beer i will make a point of revisiting when it is fully fresh. i have liked everything from these guys so far, so im sure its good in the right context. doesnt age well though...

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured a clear copper with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had bitter pine notes. The taste was malt forward with butter hop through that led to dry clean finish. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
