Served on tap in a pint glass at Haymarket.
Appearance: Mostly transparent, but still slightly hazy, bright orange in the middle and golden at the edges. A half inch of white foam rests on top.
Smell: Strong hop forward aroma. Spicy pine, pineapple, and grapefruit, with just a touch of malt in the background.
Taste: Pale malt up front provides some light sugar sweetness, then mango and citrus hops - some good pineapple and grapefruit flavors. Light spicy pine finishes it out. Somewhat of a light flavor without a ton of true depth, especially considering the ABV.
Mouthfeel: Light body, medium carbonation, fairly smooth. Piney hop resin, especially toward the end of the sip as the pine flavor comes in.
Overall: This is a fairly good, typical IPA. Kind of weak on flavor. It falls in the category of reasonably enjoyable IPA's I would drink again when the beer is not my primary focus.

Served in a 4oz taster at Haymarket.
A - A half-finger of white foam settles to a thin cap and splotchy lace. Transparent bronze body. Nice looking beer!
S - Light soap, oranges, some floral and perfume notes, zesty grapefruit, and a light icing sugar malt note.
T - Taste is a mix of orange, pine and bready malt, with less sweetness than the nose suggests. There's a mounting bitterness as well.
M - Medium bodied, lower carbonation, dry finish, and some residual hop resins that coat the mouth.
D- Pretty easy drinking IPA. Nothing super special, but something I'd gladly have again. I preferred Yes Sir! Senator to this one, and it seems to have a somewhat similar hop bill.
