On-tap at Haymarket. Served in a 4oz taster glass. It's an all-Centennial beer.
A - Lightly hazed dark golden body. A finger of white foam settles to a partial cap and thick collar, leaving some patches of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - Big Centennial hop aroma - surprise! Oranges, grapefruits, a bit of pine and herbs, and a fairly neutral bready malt back drop.
T - Taste is a mix of oranges, grapefruits, and icing sugar malt character that is well in the background. Could use more zesty citrus and punch to it. Finishes a bit astringent as well.
M - Zesty carbonation, medium body, super dry and resinous finish. Bubbles might be a bit high, but otherwise quite nice.
D - This is somewhere in the middle of Haymarkets DIPA output. Easy enough to drink, and one I'd gladly have again. Also, it's nice to see a beer from them that doesn't contain Amarillo once in a while.
