Served in a chalice-esque glass at the brewpub.

Another stop in the Second Annual Bachelor Party Free-For-All. It pours a hazy yellow (I use that color as strongly as I can: yellow) topped by a bit more than a finger of very lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises fuzzy peach, light lemon zest, and a touch of toffee. The taste holds notes of apricot, light lemon zest, and light wheat. The bright apricot flavor really elevates things without either coming across as artificial or overdoing it. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda grainy feel. Overall, a solid apricot wheat beer, one that really surprised me with its middle-of-the-road sensibilities. Not bad.

On-tap at Haymarket. "An American wheat ale brewed with 120 gallons of real apricot juice!" Served in a 4oz taster glass.

A - Lightly hazed pale yellow with a lightly milky tinge to it. Thin foam settles to a thin ring, no lace and no cap.

S - Cracked wheat, light grain and malt sweetness, and a bit of apricot juice. Pretty standard for the style, and the apricot flavor isn't all that pronounced.

T - Taste is pretty similar. Clean pale wheat beer, some yeast, a bit of malt sweetness, with a bit of tart apricot in the finish.

M - Light body, pleasant moderate carbonation, a bit of grain character to the texture.

D - I much preferred the Pink Sock Monkey Raspberry Wheat to this one. Perhaps using fruit instead of juice is a superior method for this sort of beer. I'd skip this one unless you're desperate for a lower ABV offering.
