Visited back in 2014. While small and intimate, decent selection of beer and a good vibe. Located in the "old town" section of Pensacola quarter, worth checking out.

Excellent place to enjoy a pint of L'll Napoleon. Also Monday is growler fill happy day, best value at any brewery.

Visited here October 2014. No food, just small taproom. Great selection. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Great merchandise selection as well. The beer was good, I had 3 or 4 different ones.

What a fun place to hang out when you're in downtown Pensacola. My wife and I had about an hour to kill before the Emerald Coast Beer Fest, so we walked over to the brewery. It's very compact, but there are seats outside for food and drink. The bar area was pretty crowded. We just missed the last tour, but I was able to get a walk-through from one of the owners. Lots of offerings on tap, at only $3 a pint (a special that day). The bartender let us try samples before we ordered and staff was very open about questions we had. I wish PBB had a wider distribution. They make some terrific brews. Glad we got to try them up close and personal. Recommended.

Small taproom in the middle of an historic area of Pensacola. TV behind the bar had South Park on when we walked in! Seriously awesome!! They had 4 special taproom only releases along with their core beers including a barrel aged porter which was delicious. Really fun place!

Being from Vermont I was happy to have a local brewery when I moved to the area. Before writing this review I made two trips to the brewery just for drinks not a tour. Both times I found the vibe to be ok. The first was on the fourth of July and everyone was in good spirits but the second time was a week night. During this trip the people in the bar area were all talking and laughing the bar tender did not want to be bothered with questions about their products and did not seem knowledgeable. She had her face buried in her phone sitting in the corner. Overall I don't know if I will go back because I can find Pensacola Bay Beer and other great beers a short walk away where the service is friendly and fun.

Great little spot away from the hustle of Seville Quarter. The only gave us a tour and explained the history. The beer is GREAT!! With around 7 beers on tap when i visited, it gave ample selection.

The brewery is in a great location and in a really cool old brick building right off a park. They had a wide variety of beers but none were outstanding. The tap list on the wall didn't list any prices, ABV, or other information. The bartender was a girl in her mid 20's who played on her phone the entire time we were there. She began filling a customer's growler and walked away to talk on her phone in the back room. The growler overflowed for half a minute before the customer finally gave up and walked behind the bar to cut the tap off. Glad to see more southern breweries so I hope these guys can pull their act together a little.

Highly recommend stopping by this small brewery. While it might be small they produce an excellent selection of quality beers. The taproom has a nice vibe and the staff were extremely nice. Their Black Treasure Porter that is aged in whiskey barrels is amazing. I will definitely return to this brewery in the future when I am back in the area.

Great place to stop by if you are visiting or live in the Pensacola Bay area and everyone is very friendly inside don't be intimidated by the full bar of regulars that frequent the brewery to relax or get their growlers filled. Dog friendly environment so bring your best friend with you if you decide to make the venture. They have no food there and I have always thought it would be a good idea for them to open a small kitchen with pub food or sandwiches. Service is good and prices drop on Mondays.

I really liked this place. It's in a cool building in a cool area and it's got a pretty laid-back vibe. There were some young (college age?) guys smoking cigars and a couple more groups sitting outside when we walked up. When I opened the bigass door I was glad to see the inside was well-lit, with a big bar and wasn't too busy on this Saturday night. We tried a big flight of all but one or two of the house seasonals - they had 3 different seasonals and we got to choose one to go along with the 6 or 7 other beers on the sampler tray. We chose the Blackbeard Stout over the Pumpkin something-or-other and the Raspberry wheat somthin'. I was disappointed in the Blackbeard, thought it was pretty one-dimensional. It was better than some of their others though. Overall, the house beers here were pretty boring. Some were just watery and seemed of low quality. I only make these comments about the beer because otherwise this place seemed great. They did offer a few guest taps here and I could see coming back here to drink, for sure. I just wish they would put some more effort into their beers. With that many styles/offerings its a shame they all tasted so similarly mediocre.

I frequent the Pensacola Bay Brewery pretty often. It is my favorite bar in the Pensacola area, mostly because of the excellent quality of their selection of beers. Whenever I have friends or family visiting, I always bring them here. I enjoy their fine selection of beer, but usually find myself sticking to my favorites: The De Luna Extra Pale Ale and the Lil Napoleon IPA. Their Conquistador Doppelbock is my overall favorite, but it is a seasonal beer so it's availability is limited. They also have a sampler, which is great because you can try all the beers they have on tap.
The location itself is in a nice, downtown area of Pensacola and the bar itself is very nice, open, and clean. The staff is always nice and friendly. (Whom I believe to be the owner of the bar) is always happy to tell you about the beers on tap and if you inquire will talk about future brews he has planned to be on tap.
Overall, Pensacola Bay Brewery is a nice, welcoming bar to bring your friends to, enjoy a pint and enjoy some good microbrews. If you are a beer enthusiast, this is definitely not a brewery to pass up if you are in the area.

We went to this brewery today and were compeletely ignored despite obviously waiting at the bar and making eye contact with the guy behind the bar. It was not very busy at all. We stood at the bar and waited to be acknowledged, but after both of us made eye contact with the guy, he walks around the small bar, right past us, looks at us and then walks into the back room. After 5 minutes we were tired of being ignored and left. We are both very patient people and were in no hurry at all..afterall we were just going to check out the brewery, hang out for however long, and drink some beer! I will be spreading the word about not going there or buying their beers.

I went to this during the Emerald Coast Beer Festival and for such a small scale brewery, I was very impressed. It was open to walk through and every piece of equipment looked new. Very clean, and sanitary place decorated in the tasting room with a Nautical theme which was very nice. Immediately I was impressed that for a $6 pint glass purchase I got an entire sampler tray for free. I later learned they can't sell beer, they can sell glasses and give free beer in them. Still, a nice deal.
Their beers were middle of the road. I liked their Riptide Amber and their Porter the best. For the small space they had to work with they used their space smartly, and the bathroom was very nice.
Overall, ok beers, reasonable prices, and well put together establishment.

This is Pensacola's first full scale brewery since prohibition. It is located Downtown in an historic building. Due to distribution regulations they cannot sell beer, but they can sell you a pint glass, which you get to keep, and fill it with a free sample of beer :-). They also sell sampler glasses and allow you to sample a flight of their current beers.
Cozy place with both tourist, occasional visitors and the regulars. The owners are (Robert & Mark) incredibly proud of their brewery and if you stop in ask for a tour and they will gladly show you around the brewery.
The folks behind the counter know the beer and can answer most of your questions and often the brewer (Mark) is on site for technical questions.
They do not serve food, the do sell a few snacks (bags of chips).

Great staff, awesome location and excellent beer! Six of their beers won awards at a recent event in Tampa... their first time out. If that's not reason enough to go then how about the awesome range of selection from Pilsner to Porter. If your not a alcohol drinker or just too young they also brew Cream Soda and Rootbeer on the premises which are worth every red cent. Get over here and say hello to Mark, the head brewer. He'll be glad to tell you all about his beer! Not sure what to try first? They also offer a sample tray of all of the available beers!
