I had the Milk Bar Imperial Milk Stout with Bold Bean coffee (I think this is a local roaster) on tap at Zeta Brewing in Jacksonville Beach. It was one of their collaboration series.

Served in a standard pint, the beer is black with dark brown highlights and s sticky tan head.

It has a nose of darkly roasted malts and coffee.

Lots of coffee taste backed with almost charred malt and dark fruits. The bitterness is from the heavily roasted malts and coffee. There is a bit of sweetness mid-glass that is quickly overrun by the coffee.

The mouth is thick, soft and coating.

I liked this beer, would have liked it even more if the milk stout part of the beer was dialed up a notch and the coffee dialed back a half notch.
