at brewery

A clear, medium mahogany with a short-lived tan head.

The smell is rathr Belgian yeasty with a medium malt background and a light fruitiness.
The flavor is similar, although the beer has a bit more banana than usual for style, and some clove.

Near medium body; low-med. carbonation.

O: decent, but disappointing given the number of great beers produced by Intuition.

A- Brown ish red. Light filters through.
S- Malty! Maple syrup.
T- Very little hoppyness. Mostly malt. Any hops are in the middle.
M- Mild carbonation that most micros are doing. Smooth all the way through.

Not a beer for the hopheads. Smooth and malty.

Single finger head on a cloudy brown with crimson hues body. Nice lacing. Sweet with a smokey note to the aroma. A little fruity. Flavor is heavier on the smokiness than I was expecting which is different from the previous versions. Roasted notes as well. Moderate carbonation and medium body. Overall I have had this one a few times, the more recent batch is definitely different, but not sure if it is better.

Poured on-tap at the brewery in JAX, the beer was served in a pint glass. The beer is a clear, vibrant, ruby-red color with a thin, bubbly, carbonated bubbled head. Nutmeg and molasses aromas on the nose. The smells are bakery sweet. Flavors are bold, with a strong dark caramel backbone and a spicy layer of peppery and coriander spices to balance. Darkly sweet on the aftertaste, with a creamy smooth, mid-linger finish. The increased carbonation helps to lighten the brew, but the beer still remains with a heavy and thick feel overall. Tasty! Would pair well with very strong and aromatic cheeses.

This a Belgian dubbel is brewed with German hops and Czech Saaz hops. Great chocolate and caramel flavors competing with each other. Im not a big belgian dubbel fan but I enjoyed this. There is actually some hop balance and it can be tasted. The typical banana and spice are detected but not dominated.
