Thin head without lace on a nice clear amber body. Sweet caramel malt which overall is fairly mild. Fairly standard malty Irish red beer at first but finishes sweeter than most with a nice caramel finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Overall a very drinkable and flavorful from a usually very bland genre.

Poured on-tap at the brewery in JAX, this beer was poured in a pint glass. The beer is a hazy, dull auburn-brown coloring with no significant head. Muddled and sparse lacing on the glass. Nutty and smoky aromas, with some caramel highlights. The beer has darkly sweet flavors, with heavy hazelnut characteristics. The body is smooth, and the beer has a very sweet aftertaste, with a mid-bodied finish. A slight linger that is not unpleasant, this is a decent offering for the style.
