Miss this beer more than any others. This was one of the best beers I'd ever had with nice roasted malt flavors with a mild hint of bananas and caramel, absolutely amazing ...!

A - The beer has a clear, amber colored body with a small, off white head that leaves little lace.

S - A light roast aroma with some bread notes and a hint of spicy hops.

T - Sweet caramel and toffee malt up front that lasts through the finish. Some light hop flavor and bitterness to balance out the significant sweetness in the aftertaste.

M - A moderately thick body, average carbonation, and a fairly sweet finish.

D - This is a nice beer, but not really a very good example of it's purported style. Too sweet and not really as hoppy as I would like it to be for an alt, but it is still a nice, balanced amber ale.

A: quarter finger head. Clear with brownish red color.

S: toasted malt and roasted nut.

T: strong caramel malt flavor. Almost too sweet. I am getting roast and coffee notes as well.

M: medium body and moderate carbonation. Very smooth.

Overall: my first of this genre and from what I have been told it is a variation of the style. Its almost too sweet. The flavor is complex with many different tastes that seem to coalace well.

a: Dark ruby in color. Nice lacing, but not much head. Fairly sure it due to tap temperature is too cold.

S: no hops detected, or its just average hop wise. It had a very earthy and chocolate aroma. smokey. reminded me of the Bamburg smoked beers.

T: Very smokey at first almost porter like. Some chocolate malt, very oily and chalk like aftertaste. Lots of sweet malt, no hops to balance it out.

M: soft finish, medium to heavy body. Low carbonation.

O: humm does not seem to fit style to me. its too dark and too porter like, its more of a old ale in some ways, maybe the alt does not mean its an Altbier, sadly no1 knew @ brewery bar. still its not a terrible beer really, just was not what I wanted. Since I had only 1 I would not put too much weight on this 1 yet.
