Jobless Brown Ale, our flagship, is a sessionable India Brown. It’s deceptively dark, yet light bodied. Black patent, chocolate and crystal malts give it complexity, while a single hefty dose of hops balance the maltiness. This beer pairs well with grilled foods and is great with a cigar. It could also be described as a summertime porter.

Appearance: Pours a nice dark brown with ruby hues with a thick, frothy tan head.
Aroma: Nutty, caramel, toffee, toasted malts
Taste: A rich caramel malt base laced with hints of bready/biscuity malts and notes of chocolate and mocha.
M/D: This full-bodied Brown Ale drinks like a Porter! A nice sessionable brew with rich, robust flavors. A nice and subtle earthy hop bitterness helps round out the finish on this malty beer.
This Brown Ale is one of two brews available from Compass at Jobless Burring. If you happen to find his Pale Ale on tap around town, give it a try. His beers are unique and flavorful while having a respectable abv that allows you have a few and still be able to function. I look forward to more offerings from this skillful up and coming brewer.
