In Belgium, strong golden ales are traditionally named after forces of evil. So, we thought it only fitting for this beer to share initials with the meanest little guy in the Catawba Family…the infamous LD, a.k.a. Long Dawg, a.k.a. Little Devil.
Like LD himself, our abbey-style Tripel is innocently pale in color, deceptively light in body, and irresistibly “complex.” Tasting notes include apple, pear, lemon, banana, clove, peppery spice, and noble hop earthiness.

Looks great
Smells wonderful! I was wanting an Oktoberfest genre and quality tripels always remind of that, which is good. This one did not disappoint.
I’ve been on fruity DIPA’S and needed this change in flavor. Very flavorful. Very sweet at the beginning but mellowed out and was enjoyable to the finish.
Was lighter than I wanted. But very very drinkable. Couldn’t tell that this was a 10% abv.
My first offering from Catawba and I’m pleased. If you like Tripels I think you will like this one! Looking forward to drinking the rest of the pack.
