The appearance is an attractive golden amber-tinged color with plenty of suds. A little chill haze. Plenty of carbonation on the tongue. Looks light but it tastes dark. Some faint aroma of oatmeal and grilled pineapple.
This is just totally strange stuff. I am having trouble placing the flavors, but there is a wash of bitterness that overwhelms the malt. Dark browned biscuits. It tastes like there is a Belgian yeast here, that is adding some peculiar bitter taste that doesn't play well with the other flavors. Dank, leafy hops with some arugula and dandelion greens.
This is not going to be a favorite. This needs a beer chaser. From the 32 oz growler purchased at the Morena brewing operation.
