Notes / Commercial Description:
Refreshing, light and slightly tart but never sour, this wheat beer is infused with a bushel of flavor. Red raspberries, blackberries and boysenberries collide with the perfect blend of hops and malt for a sweet, crisp, rose-colored ale that’s so easygoing, it lets bygones be bygones.

Hazy, grapefruit pour with almost no crown.
Sour cherries and vinegar nose.
Malty ale with berry rhapsody at the background. Medium carbonation.
Overall, fruity easy-going ale great to drink on its own or paired with desserts.

A rosy, peach color spews from the bottle, forming a body of the same. The head is a solid 1 finger and doesn't go anywhere quickly.

Aromas of pink moscato, wine vinegar, and fermented berries. Much like a sour ale.

Taste is empty, providing little flavor outside of some rind and watered down Arbor crushed ice melting in the glass with it. Some sour mash and grain finishes out the profile.

Feel is light, yielding to a wine like dryness.

Overall, a pretty weak ale. Wait...was this a beer?

Sprite bubbles rise through the hazy pale pink body, unable to keep alive the fizzy off-white head. Nose displays lots of fresh, tart, sweet fruit; mostly raspberries, some watermelon. Flavor is watered down, but still has those fruit flavors and some mild sweetness. No beer notes, which is a shame because something should really fill this gustatory void. Body is light, sugary, fizzy.
If only the nose carried over to the flavor, this would be a refreshing, if sweet and simple, beer. But the flavor dropped off, leaving only a watery, fizzy, juice-like beverage, but otherwise devoid of flaws.

Blood orange color and hazy. Nearly no head but it was a gentle pour. Some ring lace. Spots thereafter.

Mild aroma of pale malt and blackberries.

The blackberry is the most notable flavor. I don't get much wheat on the tongue. High carbonation with a moderate body. The swallow leaves a coating in the mouth even though this isn't very sweet.

From the 22oz. bottle into a Weizen Glass:
Rose pink with a two finger off-white head that settled to a thin foam.
Raspberries on the nose. Blackberries and boysenberries follow across the palate.
Moderate carbonation but somewhat flat mouthfeel. Very slightly tart, sourish finish.
Would have liked more tartness and a more vibrant mouthfeel. Tasty and refreshing nonetheless.

I don't see any bottle date.

Appearance: It looks like pink grapefruit juice. It has a pink color and it is very hazy. There isn't really a head on this beer. When I first poured the beer it had a very short white layer that quickly fizzed out. It has a lot of carbonation bubbles popping across the surface.

Aroma: It has a souring berry aroma; not sour like tart but souring as if a berry were going bad. The aroma is pretty standard for what you will find in beer made with actual fruit. It has a nice raspberry syrup aroma but I can't say that I would be able to pick out any other specific berry aromas.

Taste: Up front there is a very light tartness like a very watered down raspberry lemonade. The wealth of flavor in this beer is occupied by wheat.

Mouthfeel: It has a lot of carbonation but the wheat keeps the beer pretty smooth. Unfortunately it just feels very watered down and empty.

Overall: The beer is not as fruity or sour as something like a Lambic (it isn't one anyway) so expect something with a very moderate fruit presence. Drinking the beer blind I would not be able to pick out more than one berry. It has a lot of wheat flavor but it is in no way a Hefeweizen so you won't get a lot of the associative flavors or aromas. The beer feels very watered down but it would be decent for somebody looking for a beer with a light presence for a hot summer day. Personally I find it a bit lacking and there are other fruit/wheat beers that are better but I know that I could find a handful of individuals who would be interested in drinking it.

12 oz bottle. Pours almost pink, no head. Aroma is strong berry. Taste is a malty lager taste with a hint of raspberry sweetness and a dose of blackberry tartness built in. Finish is tart, but not unpleasant. Doesn’t taste like beer at all.

On-tap 5/15/2016 at Flynn’s in Mansfield, MA, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a cloudy pinkish amber color, with a thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains berries, wheat, caramelized malts and a touch of hops.

T: The taste starts out with some tart berry flavor up front. Then some breadiness comes in from wheat and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. The hops presence is very mild but brings a little bit of balance. The after-taste is slightly tart.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, this is just a mediocre beer at best.

On tap at the Orange Street brewpub location.
Pours reddish amber with a small but semi-durable head that leaves more lacing than expected.
Aroma: fruity wth raspberry, boysenberry and blackberry elements, in that order.

Taste: quite fruity wth raspberry, boysenberry and blackberry elements, but the wit base is still apparent. Sweet up front with nice light bitterness and tartness in the finish. Lingering berry aftertaste.

O: excellent for style.
