I found this beer on tap at O'Briens. I was happy to see it because I never even see it at the brewery. This beer pours an inky black with a thick dark brown head. It leaves a decent lacing on the glass. It smells strongly of coffee. Also, a chocolate aroma is present. There are slight hints of rasins, and other dark fruits. Very slight caramel aroma. Coffee, and to a lesser extent, chocolate, dominate the flavor. It has a malty sweet flavor. The hop flavor balances it out nicely. This beer in not overly aggressive. It is full boddied and goes down smooth. It is carbonated well. This beer might make a decent session beer, but I think the alcohol content is a little high. As far as Coronado Brewing Company beers go, this one is great.

A thoroughly enjoyable brew that caught me quite offguard as I really have not had good luck with stouts at most brewpubs. This was an exception and proved the rule wrong.
Beautifully dark and handsome, this black-bodied beer came with a great beige head that laced very nicely. The aroma was extremely good and gave lovely dark chocolate and fruity hints. The taste of this brew was equally good with strong flavors of chocolate, coffee, and roasted grains filled the palate.
The feel was very full and almost of syrupy consistency. The finish however was quite nice and clean, at least as much as a beer of this fullness can be. Good drinkability though I'd guess the ABV to be relatively high.
