On draught in pint glass at Yard House in Boca Raton. Typical orangish red hues of a pumpkin beer with a minimal head on a more than ample pour and sticky spotty lacing. Aroma is typical pumpkin beer scents of allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon with an underlying sweetness. Flavor is the same but there is a slightly overpowering artificial sweetness which I would assume is from the Brandy barrel. Mouth is thin refreshing with no lingering aftertaste. Overall this is an overly sweet but easy drinking pumpkin beer that is worth trying. The Brandy barrel adds an odd but interesting twist.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/31/2014. Pours lightly hazy deep reddish orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, honey, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, gingerbread, toasted oak, raisin, plum, light coconut/vanilla, herbal, and oak/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, spices, and brandy barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, honey, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, gingerbread, toasted oak, raisin, plum, light coconut/vanilla, herbal, and oak/toasted earthiness. Light herbal bitterness/oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, honey, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, gingerbread, toasted oak, raisin, plum, herbal, and oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, spices, and brandy barrel flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness as well. Light carbonation and medium body; with a smooth, fairly creamy/bready, and lightly silky/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with some lightly warming barrel notes; with zero booziness. Overall this is a very nice barrel aged pumpkin ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, pumpkin, spices, and brandy barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Clear and tawny hue, minimal lacing but stays. Woody, boozy, cake batter, spice, and gourd in the nose. Creamy smooth, full bodied. Sweet and spicy with a woody boozy warmth. Spice, wood and booze linger, there is some gourd flavor in the middle. Semi-clean finish.
These are the kinds of Pumpkin Ales I resinate to, bold with lots of character and still stays true to the style.

Punk'in Drublic poured beautifully and smelled even better. The taste wasn't disappointing, but wasn't as good as I expected after smelling. I did get a small note of the brandy barrel aging at the end.
Not the best beer, but I would drink it again.

375ml bottle poured into a goblet
A- pours a deep amber color with a one-finger creamy off-white head that seems to retain forever, leaving some nice lace behind
S- sweet and malty base aroma with brandy notes coming forward, along with vanilla oak, cinnamon, nutmeg & vegetal pumpkin
T- brandy is noticed first up front with notes of dark grape, caramel, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg & brown bread. Slightly boozy finish with more brandy on the linger
M- medium body with medium-low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a warming finish
O- the brandy barrel plays well with the sweet malty base and the pumpkin spicing, it is a bit boozy though

The pumpkin feels great, the brandy, maybe not so, but overall it's an interesting barrel aged, very strong taste.
