April 4th, 2015 - This collaboration - a lighter brown and orange in body - has a fantastic smell, combining jasmine and a touch of sage. There's also a little hint of thyme, and while the aroma isn't strictly herbal in nature, it goes give the impression of luxurious Springtime cuisine. The flavor is obviously hoppy, but the herbal composition in the aroma makes a comeback here, though milder, and persistent. The aftertaste provides an opportunity to really savor that interesting, gustatory quality, touched or dappled with mesquite honey. A feast in a bottle!

Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a bomber into an Upland Brewing pint glass.
A: Hazy gold, with average visible carbonation and a finger's worth of white head that has good retention for a hoppy beer.
S: Citrus and resin hops with biscuit malts. Lesser notes of grassy and tropical fruity hops.
T: Follows the nose – grapefruit and tangerine hops, sticky resin, and a rich biscuity malty body. Some tropical fruit hops in the background. Moderate level of bitterness into the hang - oranges, citrus pith and naked alpha bitter.
M: The body is average to a bit heavy. Average carbonation sensation. The alcohol flavors seem a bit pronounced.
O: Nothing exciting, but certainly nothing offensive. Easy enough to drink but I wouldn't go back for another even if it were regularly available.

Pours clear, gold, with 1/3 inch head. Taste is grapefruit, pineapple, orange, biscuit, and grain finish. The citrus really pops in this beer. Got the bottle in the summer, but this beer still has a fairly big hop bite. Makes for a nice sipper. I will get this one again.
