Had a pint in Coronado for 8.00.
Beer was served orange with the a decent white head.
Nose had some hints of tropical and citrus.
Taste was light mango and guava with a touch of orange. Little to no bitterness in the finish.
Feel was light to medium bodied and fairly refreshing.
Overall a solid beer that I am glad to have tried.

Poured from 12oz bottle into Snifter. Bottled on July 6th 2017.
L: Gold, with a slight hop haze, finger width of off-white head has pretty solid retention.
S: Lots of tropical hop aroma, as well as a good malt backbone.
T: Again good tropical notes and an herbal backnote of hops layered on a malty backbone.
F: Medium body, crisp, dry finish.
O: Pretty mild for a DIPA yet still a solid one.

I love the way Coronado approached this. I just hope this wasn't headed towards date rape strength hiding in a nice light summer drink. The taste is a giveaway - this does not taste or feel light in any way, and that's where they succeeded.
It starts with the pour - nice light yellow but a little thicker with malts - in the pour, being able to feel that may deserve a higher rating from me. The aroma is a solid malty IPA with loads of hops. I will bet mine isn't all that fresh, either, but it definitely maintains a strong hop content.
The finish is dry and hoppy with just a tad of citrus from something. I upped my ratings as I drank and wrote, as this is a really nice big beer. Highly recommended, any time.

Bottled on 7/6/17. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with nice clarity and has bubbles racing upwards; small eggshell white head that slowly falls leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have a nice mix of tropical and citrus fruits. Some pineapple and grapefruit. Some fresh bread and crackers in the mix. Malts are there, but don't overwhelm. The flavors follow the nose. More grapefruit. Lots of lemon. There's a nice amount of pine and fresh grass. Nice sharp bitterness. Finishes dry. Malts are there, but the hops definitely shine. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's on the lighter side of full-bodied or on the fuller side of medium-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a nice DIPA. It's more on the classic and traditional side, which really works with this one. It's clean, crisp and refreshing. Enjoyable stuff. Well done.
