Solid West Coast/East Coast hybrid style hazy pale ale! Lots of lemon zest with some undertones of stone fruits like grapefruit as well as melons and some pineapple. Easy to drink with a clean, with a medium, creamy mouthfeel and then a pleasant, dry finish.

Looks: Opaque yellow and orange, thin but persistent white head.

Smells: Lemon zest, light hoppy stone-fruits. Not a big nose for me on this one but what I am picking up is enticing.

Taste: Initially I'm hit on the front and middle of the tongue with what feels like huge lemon forward hop bitterness but then as it reaches the back of my mouth and the bitterness falls off drastically and I'm left with a dry finish. The rear of my tongue is met briefly with great flavors of melons, pineapple, and other vague fruit flavors and that lemon zest bitterness that hit early sort of lingers in my mind and there on the back end but, once again, with no bad aftertaste or lingering bitterness.

FINAL WORD: Great session style pale ale for those who want big, bright juicy flavors without piney bitterness. Dry finish paired with all that dry-hopped goodness makes this a go-to, and especially at just under $2 for a pint can. This is a great value and for that I bump this up a notch.

Had been waiting to try this. Debated about just trying one or just going ahead and getting a whole 6-pack. Decided on the latter. Generally not a big fan of Coronado beer, but Weekend Vibes had recently been one of my favorite West Coast IPAs in San Diego. Can description read, “A little bit East Coast, a lotta bit West Coast, and 100% juicy! This hoppy pale ale is fermented with London III yeast for a cloudy, hazy finish. So, grab a floaty and join us in the Leisure Lagoon of happiness.” After some digging I saw that the mentioned hops were Columbus, Cascade and Centennial.

Poured a golden clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white-to-white frothy head. Not hazy at all. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Very good spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled mixed berry, purple grape, rose blossom, floral, pine, Cascade, Columbus, herbal and green leaf. Was not getting any Centennial on the nose until I smelled from the can. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste was not nearly as good as the nose initially, but grew on me somewhat as it went down. Definitely old school hops. Specifically got earthy malt, woody pine, peppery spice, bitter citrus rind, Cascade, herbal, green leaf, Columbus, hints of Centennial and floral. (Taste - 3.50)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)

Certainly more West Coast than New England Style, but very good overall. Not as good as I hoped though. (Overall - 3.75)

Pint can - Canned on 03/15/19:

Pours yellow with a white creamy head. Lacing sticks down the glass.

The smell is of citrus, tropical fruits - orange, grapefruit, tangerine. Some bread.

The taste is of juicy fruits - tropical citric. Restrained bitterness in the finish.

It is creamy/juicy - pretty smooth.

An interesting enjoyable brew. An APA that borders an IPA. Hop-forward. West Coast big hop profile but a twist of NE style with restrained bitterness.
