pours a clear dark brown with a thin tan head, and a little lacing.
smell is of coffee, cocoa, and roasted malt.
taste is of weak coffee, bakers chocolate, roasted malt, some grain in the back, and a touch of vanilla bean, ends a little bitter, and chalky.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, described as an English-style Porter,
A: Pours black with a creamy light tan head, good retention, full lace.
S: Notes of roast, charcoal, coffee.
T: Dark chocolate and bitter coffee are very prominent, a bit of sweetness comes out in the end with a hint of piney hop.
M: Very smooth, moderate carbonation, medium-bodied.
D: A real nice porter out of Coronado. Not as good as Fuller's, but not a bad choice.

Tap @ Hamilton's. Poured dark brown with a short, thick off-white head. Moderate lacing. Lighter aroma of coffee, powdered cocoa, toasted malt and barley. Puckering bitter coffee taste up front that is slightly mellowed by a sweet cream and cocoa flavor. Finish is more of the same, but blended with a cereal grain taste. A bit sloshy in the mouthfeel. Easy to drink, though the bitterness weighs on you after a while.
