Canned 10/1/20
Now, this is an odd beer. Coffee cream ales are not unheard of, especially given many of the top rated of the style from Carton, but adding ginger to that? Damn near unheard of, at least for me, which is why I was drawn to it. That being said, I forgot about it for a few months now, but now is a good a time as any to try it out
Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with 3 fingers of white head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The ginger is straight up heavy in the nose, almost feeling combative with the coffee. I'm picking up on aromas of shaved ginger, acidic coffee, doughy malt, and general citrus
It's quite a bit less aggressive in taste, but the ginger is still prevalent without a doubt. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting ginger, caramel malt, light roast coffee, lemon peel, and light vanilla. The swallow brings notes of chalky dry malt, ginger, creamy coffee, fresh baked bread, and mild white pepper
A light medium body pairs with mild carbonation, leading to an exceptionally smooth beer. Finishes entirely dry with a touch of lingering ginger that doesn't overpower everything else
This one was certainly interesting. It's not something I could drink every day, hell, maybe not even more than a few times a month, but it's super drinkable for what it is and truly unique

I don't think I had the other Early Bird from these guys. This one is ambitious in its uniqueness. A creme ale with coffee and ginger. And ambitious pricing.
It pours mostly clear yellow. The aroma is an unusual fresh spice and coffee. The taste follows suit, and does an admirable job at a difficult and, as I said, ambitious taste attempt. It finishes with the ginger.
Recomended. Wroth $4+ for the interesting taste.

L : Semi cloudy gold , no head.
S: Very slight ginger aroma.
T: Heavy ginger taste , slight coffee overtone .
F : Definite cream ale feel , smooth finish .
O: Expected more from a cream ale , not a bad brew , but not one for my gots to have list .

Very interesting concept. Surprisingly, it is fairly light and the ginger does not dominate the flavor profile. Would recommend for those who want an outside-the-box beer, especially if you want a non-IPA with an uncoventional taste.

Look: very pale light and clear. head disappears quickly.
Smell: straw and ginger with a slight coffee undertone
Taste: the coffee comes through a little more but without a solid malt backbone... the flavors aren't as round as I'd like them.
Feel: good cream ale feel.
Overall: Props on the brewers trying something a little unique but I probably won't be getting again.

Yeah, this one spoke to me like the first time I listened to the White Album - Cream Ale with Coffee... But then it got a lil wild when I saw that there also was ginger added. But you know what? Like listening to said album on any drug, it’s still good. Yeah, the ginger seemed kind of weird at first, but I’m still feeling it As My Guitar Gently Weeps.
Peace!
