Tasted from a 16 oz can bought in Las Vegas.
L - Dark brown to black beer that seems clear despite its darkness. Immense, rocky head that looks solid enough to rest a quarter on.
S - The aromas are of a solid coffee stout, with roasted grains combining with freshly brewed coffee. Later there are definite additional aromas, like cinnamon and vanilla, that are reminiscent of french toast. Very inviting.
T - The flavors actually emphasize the french toast over the stout or coffee, with cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup. After that initial burst of flavor, the coffee stout flavors assert themselves.
F -Thick body and creamy carbonation combine to give a silky feel. Moderate hops bitterness is augmented by astringency from the roasted grains. Low alcohol presence.
O - this is an astounding beer! It is true to its base beer style, augmented by coffee, and also spot on as a french toast replication. Wow!

Look: Poured from a pint sized can into a tulip cup at refrigerated temperature. A jet black pour with heavy head with a bit of lacing as the foam dies down.
Smell: Huge notes of coffee on this. HUGE. Getting a sweet, cinnamon smell with a hint of maple. Just as advertised!
Taste: Just as advertised, you get a BIG amount of a coffee sweet milky taste followed by a hint of maple/ cinnamon towards the end. This is definitely coffee dominant but they did a very good job in making this sweet. I'm assuming the maple syrup added into this is what gives it that sweetness. What surprises me the most is that you cannot taste the 7% whatsoever!!! You would have to take a huge gulp in order to sense any of it. This beer can be dangerous because it hides it so well.
Feel: Medium to heavy bodied, not too carbonated - a bit on the flat side which may bring out the flavor more in this.
Overall: This is one of the best coffee stouts I've had. It is a coffee milk stout but I've always loved my stouts on the sweeter side. It's not overly rich, very drinkable and such a holiday vibe. I bought one to try it out but now I'll for sure buy a six pack. Great job Coronado, this is one of the best stouts I've tasted by you all. Cheers.
