Cask at Churchill's. Conditioned with Maker's Mark Bourbon Soaked oak.
A: Hazy reddish brown with a finger of white foam.
S: A harmony of bourbon and oak melds with caramel and light bread. I get some grapefruit and just a little pine.
T: Pronounced oak and bourbon with lots of caramel and bread. Light spices suffuse my palate, almost reminding me of spiced rum.
M: Medium body with moderate carbonation. The mouthfeel is creamy and sticky.
Overall: I'm not crazy about the base beer, but the bourbon oak treatment is good.
