A delicious and refreshing beverage that you can enjoy any time of the year. Look is dark and taste is rich and smooth. The smell had a roasted aroma. Added bonus is that this beer has about half the ABV of some similar tasting stouts, meaning that you can enjoy more than one.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the NW Peaks taproom, the Bergschrund.
Appearance: totally black with a thin layer of frothy brown foam. I like it.
Smell: dryish and roasty with a little caramel/toffee present. Not bad.
Taste: classic roasty character with a bit of caramel as well. Standard, but well-enough done.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a somewhat surprisingly good creaminess. I dig.
Overall: a very standard stout but a good one nevertheless.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a lightly translucent black with over 2 inches of light tan head that retention that was a bit below average, but lots of thick, heavy lacing.
The aroma had some subtle base grains, but the most notable feature was strong roasted notes. It was a very pleasing roast, not the burnt/coffee that so many of the style feature. The flavors were the same, and about what was expected.
The body, sadly, was thinner than average, perhaps even bordering on watery. Drinkability was good, my 2 pints were gone quickly on a rainy afternoon. Overall, a pretty nice brew. Nothing worth going out of your way for, but certainly worth a shot if you see it.

A: Poured jet black with great carbonation leaving a big tannish cap, pretty appealing
S: Toasted malt, very light cocoa, typical nose for a stout
T: Toasted malt, sordove grainy, hints of cocoa, perhaps some coffee notes in there, light oats
M: Medium body, a bit of bittering on the end, cocoa and coffee notes
D: Easy drinking single stout
