I had this on-tap in a taster glass at the brewery.
Appearance: nice amber hue with a light haze and a thin layer of ivory foam. A nice looking red.
Smell: a very light caramelly aroma, but otherwise not much at all going on. Kind of unremarkable.
Taste: a little caramelly with a bit of earthy hop character. It’s serviceable, but not outstanding. A run of the mill red.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a great big carbonation and a very satisfying creaminess. I dig it the most.
Overall: I’m not usually a big fan of reds, and this beer supports that trend. It’s certainly not the worst thing in the world but there’s nothing outstanding here.

shaker pint at the brewery
a: deep, clear copper red in color, a finger of white head with light lacing and average retention
s: deep red and toasty amber malts with a heady fruitiness, lots of good grain, some spice in the back of the nose, hops earthy and fruity, quality
m: good mouthfeel, carbonation and body both moderate
t: red and toasty caramel malts form a solid malty spine with lots of delicious fruity, grainy flavor, hops impart spice, earthy, restrained balancing bitter for a crisp finish
o: enjoyed this red out on the patio on my visit, drinkable with a good level of character for the style
