Consumed at brewery on Saturday, November 5th 2011. ABV is noted on beer menu as 6.1%.

Appearance of this beer is a clear amber/copper hue with minimal white head.

At first, my nose couldn't detect any smell at all. After dunking the tip of my proboscis into the brew, I was able to detect a faint caramel maltiness.

Flavor notes: Slightly sweet with an indistinct caramel malt component. Moderately bitter on finish.

Mouthfeel - nothing of note.

Drinkability is relatively good for one of this brewery's beers, but is not even average in the great scheme of things. Flavors are weak and washed out.

Sampled 11/28/2010 at the brewpub.

Pours slightly hazy dark red with some white head that laces but not much in the way of retention.

Aroma is kind of German lager-ish. Plenty of caramel and a touch of chocolate. Interesting.

Flavor is surprisingly light and also smooth but not overly amber-like. Caramel is there along with touches of chocolate and roast but it is oddly German flavored and grassy.

Body is light and drinkable.
