Pours a medium brown to copperish red color with light only visible around the edges. There is a one finger slighly off white head which gives way to a skim and leaves some lace strands on the glass. The aroma is of nuts and roast. The taste has a roasty nutty backbone. There is along a nice sweetness to the beer, a sweet and sour like flavor. A very nice back end. The mouthfeel is moderately carbonated. Overall it has a nice big flavor for an english brown. The sweet and sour back end left me wanting more of it.

Reminds me of what a maltier New Castle Brown Ale would taste like. Nice and nutty up front with a hint of roasted malt on the finish. Pours with a nice thin head and the lacing follows your every sip. Perfect carbonation level even from the growler (I did drink it that night). Would get this one again.
