Don't know how to define the beer since it was called a kolsch but Kolsch beers aren't black so I think it is closer to a Dark Wheat Ale?
Really cool jet black look that has a nice thin but heavy head bubbling on the top, almost looks like a porter.
Smell is faint for such a dark beer.
Taste is solid kolsch/wheat beer. Really weird since it is black, but I am a fan of the style and enjoyed the entire growler. Perfect carbonation. Nice beer that I would get again.
