Nice brown appearance, Smell. Lots of coffee for me & chocolate tones.
The chocolate was there on the taste with chocolate and a tad on the bitter side.
Really enjoyed!

They've got the hops and malts out of whack, IMO. Too bitter on the palate. Hops dominant. If you're going for a reliable Aussie standby, head for Feral. Much better balance.

Big thank you to wordemupg for hauling this one back for me!!
Appearance. Pours a viscous looking deep brown, black in the glass and topped with half a finger of espresso foam coloured head.
Smell. Black molasses, licorice root, old coffee, dark chocolate, with some dark fruits and fruity phenols.
Taste. Burnt sugar and toffee, some nice dark chocolate, dark fruitiness that I can't quite nail down, some coffee and a little hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Full body, viscous but not sticky. Low+ carbonation. Very nice.
Overall. A fantastic ris from a brewery I've never heard of. Thanks for the intro, wordemupg.

330ml bottle poured into wine glass 29/3/4 (from notes)
A black with a thin cola edge, she's a dark one, even the foams dark but it doesn't stick around for very long leaving a couple partial rings
S lots of dark chocolate and molasses, dark roasted coffee and licorice, chocolate syrup, fudge with just a hint of booze, smells strong and I like it
T some sweet dark toffee, a little char, still a hint of booze, what I smells there but bigger and darker, tastes amazing, still has the faintest hint of citric hops shining through all the dark malt
M thick liquid, oily on the palate, bubbles cream it up but it would feel creamy without bubbles its so thick, not much booze going down and I'll be tasting char and chocolate syrup tomorrow at this rate
O word on the street was telling me this brewery was pumping out some gems but I wasn't expecting anything this good. Solid RIS from start to finish, not the most complex brew I've ever had but what it has it has big
I know I've been craving a big stout for a while now after all the hop bombs in NZ, maybe a case of absence makes the heart grow stronger but I have a feeling this one would stand up to some big boys from around the world. One of, if not the best beer I had Downunder

Pours black with a dark tan head.
Nose shows strong roasted malt and coffee along with some floral notes and booze.
Big roasty and boozy flavours too, a little harsh in the finish. Some sweet malt presents itself underneath.
Could use a bit more carbonation.
