Received from @jdell15 in NBS BIF #9. Reviewed 6/23/19. Thanks Jacob!
On bottom of can “PACKAGED ON 01/12/18”. 12 oz can. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 54 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 62 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – VERY dark brown, clear.
Body – Dark brown/black, opaque. When held to the light, still opaque.
Head – Small (Maximum 1.8 cm, aggressive center pour), dark tan, high density, very short retention. Rapidly diminishes to a one mm crown and a thin center island cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 4 – Strong coffee and nearly as strong chocolate. As it warms, the coffee smell weakens, and chocolate becomes stronger.
Flavor – 3.75 – First swallow is shockingly bitter, but this smooths out on subsequent quaffs. Coffee predominates. Allowing it to warm in my mouth accentuates the orange which is totally missing at lower temperatures. Neither chocolate nor cinnamon appear. No alcohol (7.5% ABV), no hops, no dimethylsulfide, no diacetyl.
Palate – 3 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 3.75 – Definitely watery for the stout end of the porter spectrum, despite the added lactose. The appearance is that of Old Engine Oil, a favorite brew. The flavor becomes more balanced as it warms, with both chocolate and some orange ameliorating the coffee by the end.

Look - Pours viscous black with a short but incredibly dense tan head that takes FOREVER to form. thought this was some sort of unlabeled weak nitro for a second. no lacing and minimal retention
Smell - very subtle dark chocolate and roasted malt character. Not from a snifter and I'm sick so I cant say much
Taste - Has a very creamy chocolate character - Imagine the taste and feel of a chocolate Nitro stout but with much higher gravity. Very sweet, very chocolatey, nice hints of dark roasted coffee and mild but present hop character. Orange peel is just a hint and cinnamon was kind of absent.
Feel - Again, really reminds me of a nitro stout. very creamy with a wide, full mouthfeel, but with more of a hoppy and chocolate kick.
Overall - Imagine Nitro Stout with a pronounced chocolate kick and higher gravity. Also comparable to Reve Coffee Stout from Parish, but with chocolate instead of coffee as the main note.

Pours an effervescent mahogany with one finger of rapidly falling tan head. Zero head retention & lacing
S: Coffee, cocoa, falls off as it warms
T: Follows the nose, a little dryness & orange peel up front, plus some cinnamon. Dryness, a little roastyness & weak coffee as this warms. Finishes roasty & dry, with just a little charred gran
MF: Medium body, moderate carbonation
An alright Stout, but had much higher hopes for this. Hard to believe this is 7.5% ABV

Manchado has a thin, tan head, a very dark brown appearance, and almost no glass lacing. The aroma is of rich, dark-roasted coffee & malts, with cream. Taste is the same, with milk chocolate and bitterness, from the roasting. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy and velvety, and Manchado finishes sweet.
