Open Air has a thick, fluffy, off-white head, a hazy, sediment-filled gold appearance and heavy lacing. The aroma is of wheat bread and a touch of banana. The taste is of sweet white wheat bread, banana, bubble gum, spicy hop bitterness, and rye pepper. Open Air has a medium body and a mostly-dry finish.

12 fl oz pull-tab can ran me $9.99 USD plus tax (for a sixer) at Rouses Supermarket, Gretna, LA. Canned 08/05/20 per a paper tag on the label (or maybe that's when the grocer received the shipment? - either way it's fresh).
5.5% ABV. "American wheat ale." Brewed with Cascade and Tettnang Hops, "laid over two-row, malted wheat, vienna [sic], and rye malt."
Served cold into a stemless wine glass.
A bit bready with a hint of Biere-de-garde-redolent peppery spice. Cascade is poorly showcased; there's no bright floral flavour to this beer at all. Tettnang dominates, giving this a grassiness that while true to the hop varietal isn't particularly welcome when coupled with the dry malted wheat backbone at the core of this simplistic ale. Rye's spiciness might be the most interesting thing about it, and when coupled with its grassiness and slightly bready yeast leave this tasting more like a bad attempt at a French farmhouse ale/Biere de Garde than a proper American wheat ale.
Cascade just plain isn't present...compare this to something like Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale and it's night and day.
It's an underwhelming effort from Tin Roof, but it's drinkable for what it is. Can't compete even with nationally distributed expressions of the style from bigger brands (many of which are even cheaper) and frankly it's pretty mediocre.
Low C- (2.52) / BELOW AVERAGE

09/06/20 another 12 fl oz can:
Yeah, it's a poor attempt at a wheat ale. Maybe if they'd fruited it it'd be tolerable (e.g. peach, tangerine, orange...just something) but as is it drifts dry and starchy for a wheat ale and lacks any hop flavour whatsoever.
D+ / NOT RECOMMENDED
