I'm guessing they have revamped their pale ale, as this one is a little lighter on the alcohol contented then the spearhead. Anyway, 330ml bottle, no date on it, poured into a tulip.
Look: darker than i expected, a real amber with about 1cm of bubbly white head that pretty quickly dissipates to a thin film.
Smell: some sweet malts to begin with, biscuit and caramel. Not super hoppy, but there is a little bit of citrus and something herbal in there too. I'm a little disappointed to be honest.
Taste: A bit more citrus than on the nose, a touch of biscuit and caramel as well. A little bitterness towards the end, but its quite restrained.
Feel: Lighter bodied, carbonation is prickly, not a great length of flavour though.
Overall: Yeah, its fine. Nothing special, but nothing too bad either.
