Picked this up at La Capsule Cave à Bière in Nancy, France. This was specially brewed for their web site Bière-Révolution.com. Pitch black pour with nice two finger caramel-colored head with great retention and lacing. Big roasty, subtly sweet nose with hints of cocoa, dark chocolate, espresso, rye, and vanilla. The taste follows suit with some great roasty dark chocolate up front along with hints of cocoa, espresso, vanilla, rye bread, caramel, molasses, and a really nice hop character. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with great balance and huge drinkability. Overall, this is a flavorful, well done interpretation of a Rye Stout that I'm kicking myself for not getting more of. Highly recommended!
