Pours a dark cola brown (essentially black) with lighter brown edges. Smells of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate milk, small charred scent, and dark chocolate. Taste reflects the smell perfectly. Initial coffee/charred aspects flow into dark chocolate milk like sweetness, finishes with a slightly smoky flavor that coats the mouth and lingers. Mouthfeel is medium with a slightly over carbonated feel. It doesn't really work with the heavier flavors but it isn't off putting. Overall, this is a good local beer that is super tasty and easy to drink. Session stout?

Appearance: Black with a brown head.
Smell: Roasty malt.
Taste: Sweet roasted malts up front, into a slightly sour middle, ending with very mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Moderately thick and carbonated.
Overall: Solid straight-up stout with a complex taste but nothing too out-there. Despite it being a cream stout, it is not nearly as sweet or viscous as most. Reminded me of Guinness Extra Stout (the bigger brother of Guinness Draught).

Had it at the brewery. Good color and it gave a good head. Roasted malt and cocoa flavors were evident on both the nose and on the tongue. My local Pizzeria has begun carrying it in bottle. I've bought a few since I remember I did enjoy it but I haven't cracked one open yet.

On tap at Packinghouse Brewing Company in Riverside, CA.
The board listed this batch at 5.10% ABV.
Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. A foamy latticework of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, and lactose. Taste is much the same with cocoa and vanilla flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with some solid aromas and flavors.
