Pitch black color with a thick light caramel head and medium retention.
Nice and intense roasted aroma with predominant notes of coffee and licorice. Also, some dark chocolate
Flavor with notes of espresso, licorice, tobacco, earthy and floral hops and some dark chocolate and lactose. Dry aftertaste with some roasted notes. It feels a bit lower than its 47 IBUs.
Medium body with good carbonation. Somewhat liquorish.
Well crafted Foreign Stout with medium complexity. Not overly sweet and well balanced, a bit smoother but still faithful to style. Decent, not unique or glorious, but I sure would drink this again.
