Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a two finger khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt with a little biscuit, rich cocoa and a touch of coffee; lightly boozy. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light to moderate char, dark chocolate, molasses, drip coffee and a hint of smoke. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A well rounded, well toasted stout with fine chocolate and coffee notes. Aroma was a bit hot, but the stout is fine and hides the ABV well. Not super complex, but looks, feels and tastes great. Nicely done

32oz grunt filled at Copper Top, in Kennewick, Washington, for approx. $6 or $7. First time I'd seen or heard of this beer.
Poured, viscously, into a Kane snifter (thanks, MacMalt), this was a midnight black color, with a big, creamy mocha colored head that left lots of lace.
Aromas of brown sugar, molasses, chocolate and soy sauce abound, along with a whiff of bandaids.
Bitter and sweet roasty malts dominate this beer. Flavors are similar to what was noted in the aroma above. There's also a warming alcohol sensation in the background - not surprising, given it's strength. The finish is slightly dry.
Full bodied, with a thick, creamy mouthfeel.
It's not as complex as many Imperial Stouts, but delivers many of the goods associated with the style. As far as I know, this is the only Imperial Stout brewed in the Tri-Cities, and it's not bad. I'll hopefully come across this again in the winter when I'm down there visiting family.
