The two stars of this beer are the smell and the after taste. Both of them take on the qualities of the barrel where the beer was aged. Dried fruits, and carmelized sugar are prevalent giving the beer the personality of a dessert wine.

Tried at a beer garden and was the best beer I've had. Really thick with just enough hop to lighten it up. After trying many, this was still my go to. Can't wait to buy it in store.

From a Prowler, $7.
It pours a dark brown, cola like, small head of foam, quickly dissipating to a ring around the glass.
Big boozy nose. Some maple like sweetness, dark pitted fruits, more booze from the barrel. Pretty simple aromas that are not piquing my interest.
The taste is somewhat better. Plenty of booze from the barrel, maple syrup like sweetness, pitted fruit, leather, has a bit of an astringent bite to it.
Carbonation is adequate, I find the body is on the thinner side.
16 ounces of non sheer bliss.
