"Started out as our regular Pumphouse Porter and then Ancho Chili, Aji Amarillo, and Arbol Chili peppers were added."
First glass of the freshly tapped firkin into a shaker. Poured a deep dark brown almost black with a minimal tan head. Maintained decent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of roasted malt and chili peppers. The flavor was of roasted malt, cream, subtle chocolate, and an almost chipotle-like followthrough (the ancho perhaps?). IT had a light feel on the palate with low carbonation. Overall the chilis were a really nice touch on this one. The chili flavor was really overpowering as with some chili-added beers. The aroma was very light though and hard to pick up on things. This one is a must try for porter and chili beer fan alike. You won't be disappointed...
