30.11.2014. 650 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. BB-date today. ABV is 5.5%. Hop is Herkules. Beautiful copper colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Fairly refreshing flavour, malts, caramel (but not very sweet) and decent herbal hops throughout. A fine Märzen, but also more expensive than the bulk of them.

Amber color with beige head. Dark malts and caramel on the aroma. Taste follows with the same notes with a slight alcohol presence. Body is medium-light with a mineral feel. Not bad but it's not one of my favorite beer styles.

Interesting take on a Märzen. Bitter sweet is the way i would describe this beers taste as well as my experience. Beautiful clear brown red color, nice frothy head in a slight tan. Smells malty sweet with hits of caramel. Tast is malty upfront with a bitter bite. This kinda threw it off for me. Wasmt as clean and malty as i hoped to be. Overall, not a bad beer, just not earth shaker.

The colour is brown-red, the liquid clear. The elegant head is beige and compact. Some lacing occurs.
The smell is malty and rather bitter. Some nice dough-flavours.
The taste is sweet with lots of caramel notes. It is very malty with clean bitterness. Honey in the rather short aftertaste. Honey flavouring and powerful bitter flavours in the finish.
The bubbles are large, the carbonation strong and lager-like. Medium smooth liquid.
A very pleasant märzen with distinct flavours, with the balance intact.

A: A very striking deep bright copper. A good cream coloured 1cm head that 10 minutes later reduced to lacing.
S: Caramel and hops
T: Toasty rich, with a hoppiness that goes on and on.
M: I'd have expected to feel a little more 'roundness' on the palette from a 5.5% beer but it might be masked behind the hoppy richness.
O: I was a little cynical before trying it. At the beer-shop the brewery has a dedicated fridge unit for their range, sophisticated labelling, and brochures. Plus it's far from cheap, I paid about euro4 for a 330ml bottle. But for an occasional treat I think it is worth it. This beer is something different for me, and I really enjoyed it.

Purchased at the Galleria in East Berlin.
Poured into the designated brewery stemmed glassware. This beer had amazing head retention with a solid 1" of head the entire glass! Appearance was of a beautiful brilliant copper/orange. You can't get a nicer looking beer.
Aroma was malty and clean. Caramel malt and doughy/bready aromas dominate.
Taste is mainly of clean caramel malt with a hint of fruitiness at the end. Just enough hop bitterness is present to provide some balance.
Mouthfeel is full and a bit creamy due to the thick head of foam. Very nice!
Overall, a true craft brewer's approach to the standard German "Oktoberfest" beer. This brewery seems to meld German tradition with American flavor intensity. I highly recommend you snag Braufactum's stuff whenever you can find it!
