This is a new brew fresh from Draper brewing in Roseburg Oregon. They are actually out of town in Ten MIle, but all ingredients are sourced from Local orchards. This is a barrel aged american sour ale fermented on multiple varieties of hand picked grapes, estate grown at the Draper brewery orchard. I got this bottle from their pub house in Oregon for 10 dollars.
Look: This is a beautiful beer, it pours a murky orange with a pink tint to it from the grapes. Head dissipates fast but thats the norm for sours.
Smell: Is totally funky and wild, with notes of brett and wine, barnyard, oranges, oak, and peach.
Taste: Very drinkable, let me tell you. This is not the most sour beer I have had, but its just sour enough to claim a stake amongst the best. It's got mostly a brett taste, and a mild vinegar taste along with all the notes from the grapes. It is hard to describe this , It is complex but in a subdued way.
Feel is good, nice carbonation. Not too slick for being 9.2%
Overall this is a pleasing beer and you should try and find it in roseburg, at the draper tap house in downtown.
