So this is my first impression of a locally brewed ale that I was recommended. Cheers!
Pours a dark brown/black with a one finger head that falls fast. Decent.
Smell is of quality roasted coffee, like the imported kind. Other than that there is chocolate and toffee, caramel, and hints of vanilla.
Taste is restrained with a dark roasted component, with bitter cocoa and coffee, as well as some dry roasted barley characteristics. Taste is clean as a whistle for such a small brewery as I've read they brew just 5 barrel batches. This is top notch local brew right here guys. Roseburg locals unite and support this guy he brews a very nice ale.
Mouthfeel is medium carbonation and a decent feel to this low alc. porter.
Overall I recommend this to anyone that likes porters and is in the roseburg or eugene area. It really does hit the spot. It's nothing ground breaking for the style but it is a very nice example.

Thanks again to the Bier Stein for stocking this beer.
A: Pretty dark brown in color, with a light foamy head that leaves little to no lacing around the glass.
S: With a chocolate porter, you would like to smell chocolate. Well there isn't much of that, but you could smell a malty aroma with a hint of coffee added.
T: Sort of tastes like chocolate.
M: Very watery and a bit thin for a porter in my opinion.
D: This comes from a 3 man brewery that just started. I hate to knock them for bottling a beer like this because I would like for these guys to succeed and have others try the beers as well. I may not try this one again, but I would like to try some of their other offerings.
