Served from bottle. Drank on 7/6/2011 (going through older notes).
A: Copper, pretty hazy. Frothy / small bubbles. Good head retention.
S: Apricots, light citrus.
T: Well-balanced malts and hops. Pretty clean finish, with just a little bitterness. The apricots and citrus are present here again. Tastes like a Belgian IPA in its spiciness.
M: Very pleasant - smooth and silky. Medium carbonation.
O: Pleasant, drinkable, and balanced.

Appears hazy light brown with a light tan head.
It smells of nutty and toffee smelling malts. I also get a bit of a citrus and grass like hop smell. I also get a bit of a floral (pollen) smell and a bit of a honey smell.
It tastes initially of roasted slightly toffee flavored malt. I get a bit of a floral (pollen like) flavor. I get a mild citrusy hop flavor and a mild grassy hop flavor. There is also a bit of a nutty malt flavor, the beer ends with a strong amount of bitterness. This almost tastes like a hopped up English style IPA.
There is a smooth and creamy mouthfeel to the beer.
Overall this is a great, multidimensional IOPA. I think this IPA was equally influenced by the floral English IPA style and the very bitter and citrusy west coast style IPA.
