Lighter than Urquell, in a good way. It's like an Urquell lite as far as aroma and flavor, and smoother / more crushable. Very good lager of anonymous character, but enough character to enjoy its quality. Very satisfied, even if I was looking for more crispness.

light pale golden color with a big white head and a nice streaming carbonation from the bottom. Smell was very yeasty, with the classic lager smell. Hints of a slight hoppiness could be detected. First impression of the taste was light, crisp, clean and refreshing. Flavors are atypical of the style and nothing exceptional. Overall though it is a fantastic little sessionable lage

Served cold from a growler into a Boston Lager glass.
Pours nicely, with a fluffy white head that left a little bit of lacing. Textbook greenish yellow color and crystal clear.
Aroma has a strong cidery component over a grassy lager aroma.
Taste is pretty bland. The bold bitterness walks all over the rest of the senses. Carbonic bite on the tip of the tongue, good bitterness. Watery.
Drinkability is decent, I wouldn't bother having another. That cidery smell suggests an adjunct beer, but it is supposedly all malt. A real pilsner would be slightly darker, have more body, I think. Bitterness is appropriate.

Pours a crisp straw yellow with a decent frothy head that diminishes to a ring and leaves some lacing. The aroma was some sweet malts and some sweet fruits. The taste is a nice blend of sweet malts, some citrus hops and a hint of spices such as coriander and lemon peel. The beer was light and crisp with just a hint of sweet stickiness. This one made for a great session.

This was probably my favorite of the flight of beers I tried from French Broad. What hit me the most was the bit of spices in the aftertaste and clean finish. One of the best pilsners I've had in quite while. Nothing too exciting, but neither is the style.

Clear pale yellow-ish straw color with a decent white head and low carbonation. Grainy and hoppy saaz-ish aroma and flavor. Nice hoppy little Pils ... crisp, clean, and refreshing with a lightly bitter hop finish; dry. Light-medium bodied and smooth.

Had this on tap at the Lobster Trap in Asheville, poured a dull light golden with a thinner but well retained white head, clean aromas light bready malt and herbal hop.A very crisp pilsner to be had and food friendly with lighter seafood dishes, dry cracker malt up front with a nice smack of spiecey/herbal hop in the finish that really stands out.Better than the basic run of the mill pilsner here good hop profile and light and easy to drink.

I'm not a big pilsner fan, but this is good. Pours a clear yellowish-white, with a nice frothy creamy head, that lasts throughout. Has a sweet grain smell, with a slight grassy hop note. Taste is crisp and creamy. Good grain taste is all I can come up with. with a touch of honey sweetness. Slightly spicey/earthy notes with the hops. Not much though. Very refreshing, light body, but not watery. This is a great summer session beer. Why would someone drink BW when you can have this?

Pours a pale golden hue with a small white head. Poured pretty cold, so not much in the way of aroma, but what's there is nice: crisp, clean pilsner aroma. Well-balanced taste of hops and malt, but not as assertive as I'd like. Background notes of lemon and light astringency. Nice, slightly creamy mouthfeel. A good beer for sitting outside at the Federal on a late summer evening.

Pours a light golden yellow of a traditional pilsner. Smell of light spice and hops. Very hoppy for a pilsner, hoppier that I like but if you enjoy hops, this is the pilsner for you. Finishes crisp and clean good session beer for a hop head. This is their flagship beer.
