It takes just under 5 months for the hops to be ready for harvest. It is only possible to brew with fresh cones at the beginning of September because they cannot be stored.
For our new Edition #3, we have used this unique moment to brew a green hop beer, our Frischghopft's.
We added 50 kg of Cascade hops to the whirlpool to give the beer a fresh hop aroma. The golden yellow and shiny beer has an original wort of 12° Plato, resulting in an alcohol content of 5.1%. Together with the fresh first sip, the pleasant tanginess and the fine hop aroma from Cascade and Saaz hops, this creates a well-rounded overall picture.
