L- Jet black, pours with 1cm dark tan head, slowly reducing.
S- Toasty and some hints of deep coffee
T- Deep flavours, roasty-toasty coffee. The lable also mentions flavour of elderberry from the hops and I did notice that subtle fruit facet, which since they name it I can now ID and confirm.
F- It's quite a hoppy/dry beer for a beer as toasty as this, and at 5.8%
O- Interesting and accomplished beer, with no obvious negative facets. I'm not a born 'black beer' drinker but am enjoying this one as it's certainly something different.
