Acquired this from my trip to Israel a couple weeks ago. Should go well on this "summer" 90degF day.
Even a gently pour yields a huge 4 finger head that rises up to be more volume than the beer itself that makes it into the glass, a nice typical fizzy hefe like head that fades semi quickly at first but slows to a med pace, leaving bits of lacing, over slightly hazy golden tan honey colored beer.
Nose is pretty typical hefe, with plenty of wheat aromas, light hay, some yeast aromas, with mild clove, coriander like spices, hint of orange zest, light banana, and mild fruity esters, and a light aroma of the yeast itself.
Taste again comes with the typical hefe, plenty of wheat flavors flow around the tongue, with a light hay and malty flavor, with slight hints of baker's yeast flavor. The spices are definitely there although fairly light, again clove, light coriander, plenty of banana, hint of orange zest, mild fruity esters, yada yada, with a nice creamy taste and light sweetness. The finish dries a bit although not quite as dry as I expected, with some lingering orange zest, mild banana and spices, and a touch of bitterness.
Mouth is a bit lighter bodied, slightly creamy, decent carb but less than it should have IMO.
Overall decent beer, pretty typical hefe, nothing wrong, tasty, drinkable, just a hint of a mild bitterness on the finish, nice fruits, spices, esters, wheats, etc. Maybe a bit more carbonation would have helped.
