The beer is brilliantly clear with a light, barely copper color to it. The head is frothy and a pale tan color. Ah yes, the hops show up full force in the nose. I get notes of orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine and a bit of sharp pine thrown in for good measure. The taste is soft and creamy. Unlike most IPAs this has an uncharacteristically light bitterness, all of the hops have been packed into the aromatic and flavor notes, this makes for a very quaffable brew. The taste has notes of tangerine, bergamot, and pine sap. The bitterness is here, though just a bit more subtle than other well hopped IPAs. This beer is all about being light and quaffable. There is adjust enough malt character that the malt sweetness compliments the fruity hop notes.
